The National Science & Technology Association (NSTA), in collaboration with NASA-JSC, invites you to join us for “JSC 50: Continuing the Vision” -- an historic celebration of this prized gem that has brought pride and international fame to Houston, “Space City, USA.”
“JSC 50: Continuing the Vision” lifts off Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. The star-studded, black-tie evening will pay tribute to the successes and future of America’s space program in Houston. Proceeds will go toward scholarships for students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and NASA-supported education and workforce programs for transitioning contract workers.
Special guests will include NASA astronauts and officials, entertainment and sports celebrities, and elected officials on the federal, state and local level. A highlight of the evening will be a conversation with high-profile astronauts, NASA Center Directors and STEM industry leaders who will answer questions reflecting on the past and looking toward the future of the space program. The conversation will be moderated by event producer, emcee and Emmy Award-winning journalist, Linda Lorelle, president of Lorelle Media. Each guest will receive a commemorative coffee table book produced by the Houston Business Journal that chronicles NASA-JSC’s 50-year history.
